1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Zen AI Lab Ltd (“Zen AI Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Glimmo mobile application (“Glimmo”, the “App”) and the website glimmo.io (together, the “Services”).
Privacy is our top concern. Glimmo is designed to be privacy-first: your journal entries stay on your device, and we have no access to your entries or any other content you create in the App. You are the only one who can read your journals.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store on our servers, or have access to:
- Your journal entries and their contents
- Photos and media you add to your journal or photo album
- Items in your Personal Collection
- Your mood data and emotion calendar
- Your AI companion settings and conversations
All of this content is stored locally on your device by default.
3. Data We Collect
To keep the App reliable and improve the experience, we may collect limited data that is not linked to your identity:
- Usage Data — anonymous information about how the App is used, such as which features are opened
- Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data that help us find and fix bugs
This data is aggregated and anonymous. It does not include the contents of your journal and cannot be used to identify you. This matches the privacy practices disclosed on our App Store listing.
4. iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your entries and App data are synchronized across your devices using your personal iCloud account. This data flows between your devices and Apple’s iCloud service — it does not pass through or get stored on our servers.
iCloud storage and synchronization are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.
5. AI Features
Glimmo uses artificial intelligence to power features such as AI companion responses, the Emoji Life Jar, and automatic mood tracking. When you use these features, the relevant entry text is processed to generate the response, emoji, or emotion analysis.
This processing is used solely to provide the feature you requested. Your entries are not used to identify you, are not sold to anyone, and are not used for advertising.
6. App Lock (FaceID / TouchID)
You can protect Glimmo with FaceID or TouchID so that only you can unlock the App. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device’s operating system. We never receive, store, or have access to your biometric data.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on a small number of third parties:
- Apple App Store and In-App Purchases — subscription purchases and payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- Apple iCloud — optional sync of your data across your devices, as described above.
- Website analytics — our website (glimmo.io) uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate page visits. This does not track you across other websites.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your content lives on your device, you are in control of it:
- You can delete individual entries, photos, or collection items in the App at any time
- Deleting the App removes its locally stored data from your device
- If you use iCloud sync, you can remove Glimmo data from iCloud through your device’s iCloud settings
Anonymous usage and diagnostics data is retained only as long as needed for analysis and improvement of the App.
9. Children’s Privacy
Glimmo is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since your journal content is stored on your device and the limited data we collect is anonymous, most of these controls are directly in your hands. 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
